Mothers Day 2023 Shared Notes Big Idea: * The “Great Work” of Parenting Nehemiah 6:3-4 So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?” 4 But they sent me this message four times, and I answered them in the same manner. Trust God and the process Psalm 127:1-5 1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Trust the holy spirit- Find joy Think outside traditional boxes: “For the first time, five generations are sharing the modern culture space. Those generations are: Builders, Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z. Each generation has different values, a common language, and a unique culture. As leaders, we need to find a way to lead these different cultures to work together.” Tim Elmore – A New Kind of Diversity Take Away: 1. What “great thing”, with family, is God calling me to in this season? 2. If I were to look a generation down the road and those I'm leading followed my example of doctrine, conduct, worldview, and fellowship with Christ, what would the next generation look like? 3. What are some distractions or diversions that are pulling me away from the “great work” God is calling me to?
