Session 4 | Abiding Family Q&A

 â€¢ Series: Timothy

The Abiding Family 5/15/22 2 Timothy 1:5-7 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. 6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Within a relationship you can define a priority by the responsibility you give to it. How you handle the responsibility within that relationship will determine how you have handled that priority. You can look at my role as husband to Monica and see if I have lived up to the responsibilities from God based on how much priority I have put on that relationship. (the same as father to my kids, Lead Pastor at Catalyst and so on) When it comes to our kids and discipleship in our families: Have we accepted the responsibility from God that comes with the relationship of being a parent? Have we aligned our priorities to be faithful stewards of that relationship? What responsibilities from God do I need to accept and commit to steward better? What priorities in my life need to be adjusted so that I can faithfully steward the relationships God has given me? Take Away: 1. In what specific ways does my lifestyle reflect what I say is most important in my life? 2. How am I being purposeful in my prayer time with my family? 3. How am I modeling serving with my family? 4. In what ways am I fostering community with my family? 5. How am I being intentional in finding the joy in every season? 6. Does our family have a Godly vision and are we living it out?
